Grooming Hours:

  • Monday - Friday: 8AM - 5PM (appointment only)

  • Saturday: 8AM - 2PM (appointment only)

  • Sunday: Closed

Grooming Duration:

  • Small to Medium Dogs: 3-4 hours

  • Large Dogs & Doodles: 4-6 hours
    (due to extensive handling & coat maintenance)

FRESH START GROOM

When a dog’s coat is severely matted, a fresh start groom may be necessary.

This service involves removing most of the coat to safely and comfortably eliminate matting while preserving what can be saved.

Excessive matting can pull on the skin and hide underlying skin issues, parasites, moles, or skin tags.

Because this groom requires extra time and detailed work before bathing to properly assess skin health and ensure thorough cleaning, pricing and appointment length vary based on your dog’s size, coat condition, age, health, and temperament.

Please expect a longer appointment. Final pricing and timing will be discussed at check-in after your dog’s coat is evaluated.‍

HAND SCISSORING

Hand scissoring is a detailed grooming technique that requires additional time to achieve a precise, customized finish.

Appointment length typically ranges from 4–6 hours, depending on your dog’s size, age, coat condition, and temperament.

This service is commonly requested for styles such as standard poodle show cuts.

While premium grooms include some hand scissoring, styles that require full, all-over hand scissoring may incur additional fees. Final timing and pricing will be discussed at check-in after evaluating your dog’s coat.

DEMATTING

If a coat is severely matted, dematting may not be an option. Extended matting can be painful, restrict blood flow, and cause skin irritation. Mats can also conceal underlying skin conditions that may otherwise go unnoticed.

Any skin issues discovered beneath the matting will be documented in your dog’s file for future appointments. Severe ear matting can lead to hematomas caused by restricted circulation and excessive head shaking; veterinary care is recommended in these cases.

We take extensive precautions when matting is present, always prioritizing your dog’s comfort, safety, and overall health.
