Small to Medium Dogs: Approx 3-4 hours
Large Dogs & Doodles: Approx 4-6 hours (due to extensive handling & coat maintenance)

DETAILS:
Premium breed dogs (view breed list) require additional work and time to complete a grooming service. Coat type, density, coat condition, grooming style, special requirements and temperament can play a factor in the final charge for these breeds.
FRESH START GROOM
DETAILS
Sometimes your dog needs an all-over fresh start. This means minimal hair will be left on your dog due to excessive matting of the coat. We will attempt to comfortably save what we can. Excessive matting pulls on the skin, hides skin conditions, parasites, moles, and skin tags. Since this service is meticulous and requires additional work prior to a bath for proper skin health inspection and adequate washing, the charges vary on size, severity, age, health, and temperament. *Please anticipate longer appointment durations for fresh start haircuts. Pricing and duration will be discussed at check in after inspection of your dog.
HAND SCISSORING
this service is added to full grooms if requested style requires excessive hand scissoring
DETAILS
This service requires extra time to accomplish desired trim. Please expect a 4–6-hour appointment duration depending on the size, age, coat condition, and temperament of your dog. Please call and speak with one of our grooming associates if you have questions. *Note: An example of a dog requiring hand scissoring would be standard poodles show styles. Premium grooms allot time for hand scissoring however, if the requested style requires an all over hand scissoring trim, then additional fees will be discussed and applied.
DEMATTING CHARGES
DETAILS
If severely matted, then dematting will not be an option. Dematting can be tough on the skin and can cause irritation if the coat has been matted for an extended period of time. Matting restricts proper blood flow and can hide skin conditions underneath the coat. Skin conditions discovered under matts will be discussed and added to your file for future updates/appointments. Ear matting can cause hematomas to occur, this is a result of restricted blood flow and excessive head shaking; vet care is recommended. We take great precautions when matting is involved. We do this for the protection of your dog's health.
UPGRADED HAIR & SKIN CARE SHAMPOOS & CONDITIONERS
✔ Deodorizer Shampoo with Luxury Conditioner – Absorbs and breaks down odors, leaving your dog fresh and clean.
✔ Skunk Shampoo with Luxury Conditioner – Helps break down skunk oil and significantly reduces odor.
✔ Recovery Shampoo with Conditioner – Formulated for dogs with bacteria growth, yeast, ringworm, flaking, and scaling skin.
✔ Degreasing Shampoo (Conditioner will not be used) – Designed to remove excess oil from breeds like Yorkies and Shih Tzus.
✔ Vet Prescription Shampoo – Requires a 15–20 minute soak for effective treatment (vet-prescribed only).
✔ Flea Shampoo – The Spot 4 Dogs reserves the right to apply flea shampoo upon detecting fleas. This mandatory treatment is a non-negotiable upcharge to prevent spreading to other clients. Monthly flea prevention is highly recommended.
✔ Hypoallergenic Shampoo – Used upon request at no extra charge. Free of fragrance and cologne for dogs with sensitive skin.
